Final Edit

On 30/4/10 we had our final editing session. In this session we mainly focused on the audio because when we added the extra footage on 29/04/10 we had to re-adjust the existing scenes in our film sequence to make space for the extra footage/scenes so this meant that the sounds connected to the existing scenes was displaced and therefore synchronisation was lost. One of the ways we adjusted the audio was by getting rid of all the custom made soundtrack and adding it again. We then adjusted it according to the new sequence e.g. we reduced the sound level when one of the characters was having a flashback. Another way we adjusted the audio was by tracking the out of sync sounds and re-connecting them with their original clips. The last thing we did for the editing was to add non-diegetic sound effects (such as the wind howling) to certain scenes.
